Three-channel video on three televisions. Running Time: 08:10

Stammering is an under-represented speech difficulty which affects quality of life. On a daily basis, people who stammer go about their everyday lives and encounter ignorance, rudeness, negativity which has a detrimental effect to their own confidence and self-esteem. Stammering also provides positive qualities including patience, empathy and good communication skills.

The Open Mouth That Offers Up Nothing is an intentionally unsettling installation which will attempt to visualise and simulate what it is like to be a person who stammers, visualising both what is on the surface and what it is beneath it.
