So, you’ve arrived. This is the new home of my practice alongside being a place for thought, opinion, justification. It keeps you in the loop. I found, quite honestly, that my previous website was just a catalogue of my previous works, almost like a reference book. It provided limited engagement opportunities. The amount of times it was updated was minimal. Not because I wasn’t making or doing, but simply because the turnaround for a completed artwork can be quite demanding upon time. Then documenting that work, is another story.

In addition, since my previous website, the focus of my practice has dramatically changed. It is admittedly much less photographic, leaning itself towards a collaborative, educational and more socially relevant basis. I now consider myself a socially engaged visual artist / practitioner, delving into multiple disciplines, research areas and methods of making.

My practice now requires more discussion with others, it is collaborative and no longer solitary. My work is influenced by what people say, how they feel, how they react. It is representative rather than passive. I’m on the cusp of launching a new collective which will provide a voice for those who may be rarely heard, because of a barrier which is out of their control. This has stemmed from my stammer, and its relationship to art.

This new look website provides me and you an opportunity to discuss, debate and ponder. I hope to be providing fresh content to this site on an almost weekly basis.
